Attorney James F. Farmer received his J.D. from the University of Baltimore School of Law in 1978. Through 30 years of private practice, he has developed extensive expertise in Criminal Defense, Personal Injury and Civil litigation. A past President of the Charles County Bar Association and current member of the Maryland Bar Association, Mr. Farmer has argued cases before the Maryland Court of Appeals and the District of Columbia Court of Appeals. He is licensed to practice in Maryland, Washington D.C., Federal courts, Military Court of Appeals and the Supreme Court of the United States. He is a member of the Million Dollar Club — a select group of attorneys who have received over $1 million dollars for one or more clients. Before entering the legal profession, he was a highly decorated Member of the 113th Tactical Fighter Wing of the Air National Guard located at Andrews Air Force Base in Maryland, from which he is now retired. A nationally known conservationist, Mr. Farmer has received numerous awards for his efforts. He is the only person to be named Conservationist of the Year twice by the Maryland Department of Natural Resources. In addition to work and volunteer activities, he has successfully bred a long line of bird dogs, many of which have appeared on the covers of nationally-distributed magazines. Mr. Farmer is also a proud member of the Greater Washington Fastpitch Softball Hall of Fame. Over the years, his charitable activities have raised hundreds of thousands of dollars for their respective causes.
